About me

Fiona Campbell graduated in 2006 from BA (hons) Interactive Arts at MMU. She works primarily with animation but has also created work using illustration, model making and film. Her work explores a variety of themes including; peoples relationship with animals, transformation, folklore and death. She is influenced by her experiences living in Finland and Japan, as well as a fascination with early eastern European stop-motion animation.
She has exhibited in various venues and events throughout Manchester and the UK, including Exposures Film Festival, the Bradford Animation Festival, Islington Mill, Urbis and The BBC Big Screen in both Leeds and Manchester. She also worked as ‘animator in residence’ in the National Media Museum in Bradford as part of the AYUP scheme in May 2008.
